2013PROJECT OVERVIEW
Foliage Software Building in Burlington, MA is a commercial office property at Northwest Park that underwent extensive renovation and fit-out for Foliage Inc., a software product development firm. The project included full base building renovation with new roof, windows, MEP and fire suppression systems, along with specialized interior fit-up designed by Maugel DeStefano Architects. Key design features include a signature 20-foot clear-height lobby with sloped glazing systems and a distinctive corner entry that became a landmark for the Northwest Park complex. The building serves multiple tenants and supports approximately 30,000-40,000 square feet of office space.
OWNER’S PROJECT MANAGEMENT
A $4M commercial fit-up for a software company required an OPM coordinating base building restoration with tenant-specific interior design and operational continuity. Matt managed the renovation scope covering structural, mechanical, and systems work while coordinating Foliage's interior requirements in parallel. He negotiated general contractor pricing, managed the milestone schedule, and ensured quality standards on both base building and fit-out elements. Coordination with the Maugel Architects design team and owner timeline demands required strict change order management and weekly progress oversight. The result: on-time delivery of a fully operational office building with distinctive architectural presence.
